FAA Part 107 Certification Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
You must be at least 16 years old, able to read/write English, and pass a TSA security screening. Medical certificates are not required, but clear vision and steady hands help.
Steps to Register for the Knowledge Test
1. Create an Integrated Airman Certification and Rating Application (IACRA) profile.
2. Schedule the Unmanned Aircraft General test (UAG) at an FAA-approved PSI center.
3. Score ≥ 70 % on 60 multiple choice questions covering airspace, weather, and regulations.
Recurrent Training & Renewal Rules
Since April 2021 the FAA replaced the in person recurrent test with a free online course. Complete it every 24 months to keep night ops privileges and stay current on rule updates.

Most students pass the FAA test within three weeks of enrollment, then receive their Remote Pilot Certificate card in 10–15 business days.
You can retake it after 14 days. Pro and Enterprise plans include a free coaching session before your second attempt.
